Is this service licensed?
Kummute Cross-Border is operated under a Class 4 Ride-Hail Service Operator Licence from the Land Transport Authority of Singapore and approval from APAD Malaysia. All taxis on the platform hold valid cross-border taxi permits.
Where can I be picked up and dropped off?
The app only shows pickup points that are allowed for your trip, so you just pick your location and book. The rules depend on whether your taxi is Malaysian or Singaporean:
Singapore taxis
Pick up anywhere in Singapore, and drop off anywhere. In Johor Bahru, pickups are only at Larkin Sentral Terminal, Toppen Shopping Centre, Mid Valley Southkey and Angsana Mall.
Malaysian taxis
Pick up anywhere in Johor Bahru, and drop off anywhere in Singapore. In Singapore, pickups are only at Ban San Street Terminal, VivoCity, Century Square and Joo Koon MRT Station.
How much does a trip cost?
Your fare is shown in the app before you confirm the booking.
How do I pay?
All payments are cashless and made securely in the Kummute app.
What documents do I need?
Every passenger needs a valid passport and any required entry documents for Malaysia or Singapore (e.g. SG Arrival Card / MDAC). Please complete these before your trip to avoid delays at immigration.
Can I book in advance?
Yes. All trips are scheduled bookings, and you can book up to 7 days ahead. On-demand booking is not available yet. If you are catching a flight, leave extra time for border clearance.
